Volleyball Intramural Expectations

Conduct yourself in a positive manner and have a cooperative attitude.

Encourage and support other firebirds on and off the court.

Abide by the Fertitta 15 and exhibit positive leadership traits.

Bring water and tennis shoes to every intramural practice (kneepads are optional).

Students need to be coachable (listen and try what the coach is asking, and ask appropriate questions to help you) or will be asked to sit out.

 

Eligibility Requirements for Tryouts

Must have a 2.0 GPA from first semester and maintain a 2.0 GPA.

Students may not have suspensions in semester 2; those that had one or less suspensions in semester 1 will be able to try out, but will be on behavior probation.

ALL students planning to tryout, MUST complete an AKTIVATE packet, doctor’s physical, as well as the $25 packet fee by Friday, February 19th or the student may not tryout. Make sure to add volleyball as a sport on the Aktivate registration page. The link to Aktivate is on the school website under athletics.

 

Volleyball Camp Information

There will be a volleyball camp held for each grade level on a Saturday in January and February for students that want to learn and progress their skills to support them with tryouts. **January 31st- 6th grade girls, February 7th- 7th grade girls, February 14th- 8th grade girls & all boys.

The camp will run from 9am-12pm at Fertitta’s gym on the designated Saturday.

Camp will include a t-shirt, snacks and drinks.

Students will pay the school banker beginning Wednesday, January 8th for camp. The cost is $30 cash.
